Information about Webmail
Important information about upgrades and changes in Incabus Webmail.
Upgrades
Incabus Webmail has previously used a web based IMAP client called SquirrelMail. Many people have experienced problems when e-mail that is sent have "changed sender". To fix this problem we have upgraded to the latest stable version of SquirrelMail, version 1.4.19. We have also installed another IMAP client that is called Roundcube. This one is more advanced and offers many new features like "drag ad drop". You can choose which one you want to use when you are signing in.
Addressbooks
As these both applications store their information and address books on separate locations it is important to know that the information in SquirrelMail is not visible in Roundcube. The addresses and signatures you have been using in the old webmail is not accessible in the new Roundcube.. We can help you move the addresses to the new webmail. If you want us to do that, contact us by e-mail at support@incabus.com.
Changing passwords
There is a function in SquirrelMail to change your e-mail password. Please keep in mind that if you change your password here you must also change it in all other applications that you use to access your e-mails in Incabus Mail such as Microsoft Outlook.
The only other way to change your e-mail password is to log on to Mail Admin and change the password there.
Other things to think about
Remember that an webmail client is an application that makes it possible for you to manage your e-mail through a web browser and that it is working directly at the e-mail server where your e-mail account is. If you use other applications like Outlook to download your e-mail, it won't be accessible through your webmail anymore unless activate the "Leave messages on the e-mail server" checkbox. This is a function that is available on most e-mail applications like Thunderbird eller Eudora.
We hope that you will find these changes useful and we thank you for using Incabus Webmail.
