Outlook Express

This page describes hot to setup your Incabus Mail account in Outlook Express. Outlook Express is included in versions of the Windows operative system and is also available for the Macintosh operative systems.

How to setup Outlook Express to use your Incabus Mail account

Once you have started up Outlook Express. go to the menu option “Tools” > “Accounts...”.

Step 1

This will open the “Internet Accounts” dialog box. Click on the “Mail” tab which shows all your email account.

Step 2

Click on the “Add” button and select the “Mail…” option in the popup menu. This will start the “Internet Connection Wizard”.

Step 3

In the “Internet Connection Wizard” dialog box do the following:
In the “Display name” field, enter a name that describes the account. Then click on the “Next >” button.

Step 4

In the next view you enter your email address in the field “E-mail address”. Then click on the “Next >” button.

Step 5

In the next view you enter your email servers.
In the popup menu “My incoming mail server is a”, you choose “POP3”.
In the field “Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server”, you enter “pop3.incabus.com”.
In the field “Outgoing mail (SMTP) server”, you enter “smtp.incabus.com”.

IMPORTANT. If your ISP (Internet Service Provider) has blocked outgoing e-mail (SMTP) in their network, you must use the SMTP server they recommend. Please check with your ISP for details on what SMTP server to use.

Then click on the “Next >” button.

Step 6

Now you enter your account information.
In the field “Account name” you enter your full email address.
In the “Password” field, you enter the password you received with your e-mail account information.

IMPORTANT. If you change your password when you are logged on to your webmail, you MUST change it in this field.

Then click on the “Next >” button.

Step 7

Now simply click the “Finish” button and you have completed the wizard. However ther is still one thing you have to do in order to make Outlook Express work with your Incabus Mail account.

Step 8

You should be back in the “Internet Accounts” dialog box. Select the account you just created and click “Properties” button on the right. This will open the following dialog box.

Step 9

Click on the second “Server” tab. In the “Outgoing Mail Server” section, click the “My server require authentication” check box.

Now click the “OK” button. Close the “Internet Accounts” dialog box and you are ready to use Outlook Express with your Incabus Mail account.
